Spider-Man: Brand New Day introduces MCU's Jean Grey and mutant era

Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiered on August 3, 2026, revealing that Sadie Sink’s character is Jean Grey, firmly establishing mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Peter Parker (Tom Holland) begins the film lonely after the events of No Way Home, his friends MJ and Ned having forgotten him due to Doctor Strange’s spell. He also struggles with new powers, including organic web shooters and heightened aggression.

Jean Grey initially appears as a body-swapping villain targeting MJ, but she is actually trying to rescue her sister Sara from the Department of Damage Control.
