Moove raises $250M at $2.1B valuation for robotaxi fleet
Moove, a Dubai-headquartered mobility startup, raised $250 million in a Series C funding round on August 5, 2026, reaching a $2.1 billion valuation. The round was led by Mubadala Investment Company, with Woven Capital and Ion Pacific as co-leads, and included participation from BlackRock, MUFG, Franklin Templeton, Uber, and others. The fresh capital will accelerate Moove's expansion into autonomous vehicle fleet management, building on its existing operations across 14 countries with a 42,000-vehicle ride-hailing fleet and 3,300 employees. Co-founder and co-CEO Ladi Delano said the company's experience in financing and managing human-driven fleets provided the foundation for its pivot into robotaxis, which began in early 2023 after assessing the AV ecosystem. Moove currently operates as the fleet manager for Waymo in Phoenix, Miami, and Las Vegas, with plans to expand to London, and intends to eventually own the vehicles through debt financing. The funding will also support hiring about 350 people and developing automated depots called "Nests" that use robotics for charging, maintenance, and servicing, with around 15 depots in various stages of development. Delano noted that the traditional mobility business is set to achieve full profitability this year, while the company's long-term vision is to own hundreds of thousands of robotaxis.
