Disney D23 2026: Avengers Doomsday trailer, X-Men cast, Ahsoka teaser

Disney announced the cast of Marvel’s untitled X-Men film and debuted a new Avengers: Doomsday trailer on August 15, 2026, at D23 in Anaheim, California.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige appeared with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell to present the trailer. The film is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026.

VisionQuest premieres on Disney+ on October 14, 2026. It follows the titular hero as he wrestles with his identity, chats with Ultron in human avatar form, and searches for his potential son, closing a trilogy that began with WandaVision.

Marvel’s untitled X-Men film opens on May 5, 2028. Sadie Sink plays Jean Grey, Kit Connor plays Scott Summers (Cyclops), Christopher Abbott plays Charles Xavier (Professor X), Samara Weaving plays Emma Frost, Maya Boyd plays Storm, and Inde Navarrette plays Rogue.

Adam Driver plays the villain Nathaniel Milbury, also known as Mister Sinister. Navarrette is coming off a star-making turn in the critical and commercial hit Obsession.

For Star Wars, Disney showed a teaser trailer for season two of Ahsoka and a special look at Star Wars: Starfighter featuring Ryan Gosling. It also announced updates for Pixar, The Simpsons and Bluey.

Square Enix teased Kingdom Hearts IV, the first all-new entry since Kingdom Hearts III in 2019. It is launching on Switch 2, PS5, Xbox and PC with no release date yet.

The first three Kingdom Hearts titles arrive in a single Switch 2 package on October 8, 2026. A demo of Kingdom Hearts III is available as of August 15, 2026.

A Kingdom Hearts session is scheduled for August 15, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. ET to commemorate 25 years of the franchise.
