Xbox prices rise up to €200 or £170 in EU and UK

Microsoft increased Xbox console prices across the EU and UK on August 2, 2026, with hikes of up to €200 or £170. It is the third round of price rises since May 2025.

The 1TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive jumped from £499.99 to £669.99 in the UK and from €599.99 to €799.99 in the EU, a rise of more than 30 percent. The 512GB Xbox Series S saw an even steeper increase of over 43 percent, climbing from £299.99 to £429.99 and €349.99 to €499.99.

Other models also saw significant hikes: the 1TB Series S moved to €599.99/£519.99 and the 1TB Series X digital edition rose to €749.99/£619.99. RAM and storage prices have skyrocketed due to artificial intelligence demand, fueling the cost increases. In June, Microsoft had announced only US pricing for the round of price bumps.

The highest-end Xbox now costs $300 more than its 2020 launch price of $499.99. The 2TB model is being retired as the storage crunch persists.
