Silent Hill: Townfall, a new entry in the horror series set on a remote Scottish island in 1996, was unveiled on 29 July 2026. The game follows amnesiac protagonist Simon Ordell as he arrives in the coastal village of St Amelia with an IV cannula in his hand and no memory of how he got there.

Glasgow-based studio Screen Burn, known for Stories Untold and Observation, first announced the project in 2022. The team drew inspiration from real Scottish fishing towns, visiting and extensively photographing St Monans and others.

Townfall departs from the series’ traditional Pacific Northwest and Japanese settings, signalling a continued expansion of the franchise beyond Silent Hill itself. It follows Silent Hill f, released in 2025 and set in Japan.

No release date has been confirmed, but the reveal indicates the project is progressing.
