Nintendo will broadcast a Nintendo Direct devoted to Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave on August 4, 2026, at 10 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT, roughly six weeks before the strategy RPG’s September 17 release.

Viewers can watch the 20-minute presentation on YouTube, where Nintendo will offer the deepest look yet at the game’s world, characters, and mechanics.

Set in Dagsion, capital of the Dagdan Empire, Fortune’s Weave follows four heroes — Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda — as they compete in the Heroic Games for a single wish. Cai seeks to free his imprisoned father; Dietrich, a swordsman from Fodlan, wants to test his skills; Queen Theodora aims to prove herself after her father’s death; and musician Leda pursues revenge against the enigmatic Lechner.

A recent trailer revealed ties to earlier entries in the long-running tactical RPG series, including an aged-up Sothis and the Hero’s Relics that reference 2019’s Fire Emblem: Three Houses and 2022’s Three Hopes, as well as a demon army from the Underworld and the arrival of Eshmel, the Herald of the Pale Raven.

Between matches, players can recruit party members, train them to unlock new skills, and explore surrounding regions to earn experience.
