SpaceX AI revenue triples to $2.6 billion

SpaceX’s artificial intelligence revenue surged to $2.6 billion in the latest quarter, more than triple the figure from the same period in 2025, the company said on August 4, 2026.

The AI division, which SpaceX’s public-offering documents cite as its main value driver, lost $1.5 billion, slightly narrower than a year earlier.

Deals with Anthropic in May 2026 and Google in June 2026 to provide compute services put SpaceX up against neocloud rivals like CoreWeave.

The push into AI also drove capital expenditures to $18.37 billion.

Overall, SpaceX’s net loss shrank to $143 million, even as space division costs rose $389 million, propelled by the Starship program.

Starship is central to Elon Musk’s plan to expand the connectivity business, the company’s only profitable segment.

To sustain that business, Starship must launch heavier Starlink satellites. SpaceX has manufactured these and launched 20, but it is not clear when it will deploy 60 at once.

SpaceX shares continued to fall after a brief rise, even though it beat analyst estimates, Bloomberg reported.
