Jaguar revealed the interior of its upcoming all-electric Type 01 on August 12, 2026, through a series of new photographs. The cabin features a beige color scheme and a distinctive “spine” that runs the length of the interior, separating the four seats. The driver’s seat is positioned low, and the dashboard is slim with a central smartphone-style display. A traditional rear-view mirror is absent; instead, a “ClearSight Rear View Display” is located at the bottom of the windshield, aligned with the door mirrors to aid driver focus. The design also includes concealed compartments and hidden‑until‑needed technologies, though these are not visible in the released images.

The Type 01 is the first production vehicle built on Jaguar’s Electric Architecture, following the polarizing Type 00 concept unveiled in 2024. This marks a significant step in Jaguar’s transition to an all-electric lineup, showcasing a radical interior design that prioritizes minimalism and driver-centric technology. The vehicle’s layout and features signal a departure from conventional luxury car interiors, potentially influencing future electric vehicle designs.

Jaguar plans to publicly display a Type 01 prototype under a camouflage wrap at Monterey Car Week, ahead of its official reveal scheduled for October 6, 2026. The Monterey appearance will offer an early glimpse of the vehicle’s exterior, building anticipation for the full debut. The Type 01’s introduction is a key milestone for Jaguar as it repositions itself in the electric vehicle market, emphasizing bold design and advanced technology.
