EVgo said on August 5, 2026, it will begin deploying Tesla V4 Superchargers built under license across its U.S. network in fall 2026, a first for an American charging network.

Each charger can deliver up to 500 kW at up to 1,000 volts and includes both NACS and CCS1 plugs. Their extended cables reach charge ports on all electric vehicles.

CEO Badar Khan said: “EVgo is making it easier for drivers to find convenient fast charging. We look forward to welcoming more Tesla and NACS drivers to the network.”

The EVgo Superchargers will appear in Tesla’s in-car navigation and route planner, as well as the EVgo and Tesla apps.

EVgo will own and operate the hardware, managing site host engagement, utility interconnections, and pricing.

The announcement comes as Tesla increasingly leans on charging services for revenue amid vehicle price cuts and rising costs, while the industry shifts to the J3400 (NACS) standard.

EVgo also said its own next-generation DC fast chargers will be deployed by the end of 2026.
