D&D adds World of Warcraft sourcebook launching November 17
Wizards of the Coast said on July 31, 2026, that it will launch a World of Warcraft sourcebook for Dungeons & Dragons on November 17, 2026, and a Star Wars collaboration set during the Rebellion era is due in 2027.
Both releases are part of the new “D&D Universes Beyond” initiative, which extends the tabletop role-playing game into other intellectual properties. The move follows the Universes Beyond line for Magic: The Gathering, launched in 2021, which has drawn mixed reactions from players.
The World of Warcraft book uses the revised fifth edition Player’s Handbook as a base and includes rules for playing all 13 classes from Blizzard’s Azeroth setting, plus new spells, magic items and professions. It also adds 11 WoW-themed species and six subclasses: Oath of the Ebon Blade and Oath of the Holy for paladins, Demon Hunter for ranger, Shadow and Discipline domains for clerics, and Path of the Elements for barbarian.
Details on the Star Wars project remain sparse, but it is expected sometime in 2027 and will be set during the Rebellion era.
