McDonald’s revenue misses estimates as U.S. sales slow
0 0
McDonald's reported mixed second-quarter results on August 4, 2026, as U.S. same-store sales growth slowed and revenue missed Wall Street estimates. The company also announced a leadership change in its U.S. division, with Skye Anderson taking over as president effective immediately. Anderson, a 26-year veteran of the company, previously served as chief operating officer of McDonald's USA and led its Global Business Services unit, succeeding Joe Erlinger who led the U.S. business for more than six years. CEO Chris Kempczinski stated that while the company's playbook is working globally, there is an opportunity to raise the bar and accelerate performance in its largest market. Shares rose 2% in premarket trading following the announcements.
