Google unveils Pixel 11 with $100 price hike, new colors

Google unveiled its Pixel 11 lineup at a launch event on August 12, 2026, introducing new phones, a Pixel Watch 5, Pixel Tag tracker, and Pixel Buds Pro 2 updates. The Pixel 11 starts at $899, a $100 increase over the Pixel 10, and launches on August 20th. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL start at $1,099 and $1,299 respectively, while the Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899. The Pixel Watch 5 now starts at $399, a $50 bump, and the Pixel Tag launches November 11th for $29 individually or $99 for a pack of four.

The Pixel 11 runs on Google's new Tensor G6 chip, which the company claims offers 25 percent faster web browsing and 15 percent faster app loading. Its battery lasts over 30 hours and supports 25 percent faster wireless charging than the Pixel 10. The camera bump is over 40 percent thinner, and the phone includes 48MP wide, 13MP ultra-wide, and 10.8MP 5x telephoto lenses on the back, plus a 10.5MP selfie camera. Google says the 48MP wide lens has 56 percent more light sensitivity and the 5x telephoto supports up to 30x Super Zoom. The base Pixel 11 has 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, up from 128GB in the Pixel 10's starting configuration.

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL introduce HiLight, an LED indicator light in the camera bar for Gemini interactions and incoming calls from favorite contacts. Google says the LED will get more capabilities later, like signaling message notifications from frequent contacts. The Pro models feature a display that maxes out at 3,600 nits, a new 48MP telephoto lens with up to 120x Pro Zoom, a new 50MP wide lens, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 42MP selfie camera. According to Google, they offer over 30 hours of battery life and over 29 percent faster wireless charging compared to the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL. The 512GB and 1TB storage options include 16GB of RAM.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold claims three times the durability of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with IP68 water and dust resistance and a back material Google says is "designed to be nearly impossible to crack." Its displays are 20 percent brighter than last year's model, with the inner display reaching 3,600 nits. It runs on the Tensor G6 chip, offers up to 24 hours of battery life, and includes a 48MP wide lens, 10.5MP ultra-wide lens, and 10.8MP telephoto lens with up to 30x Super Zoom. The Fold starts at $1,899 for 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, in olive and black.

New camera features across the lineup include Magic Capture, which pulls photos and clips from video recordings, and Camera Looks, customizable stylized photo presets like minimal, editorial, and "digi." The Pixel 11 Pro adds Pro Stable Video, which Google says can record at up to 8K. A new Creator tab in the Camera app has a Creator Suite with trimming and reordering tools, an onscreen teleprompter, and improved Speech Enhancement.

The Pixel Watch 5 adds Breathing Emergency Detection, which can trigger an emergency call if the watch detects a significant, sustained drop in blood oxygen saturation. It also tracks nightly sleep breathing quality with monthly reports, and starting in September, Google introduces Blood Pressure Trends and Insulin Resistance Trends. The watch has AI-generated strength training plans and rep tracking, and Google claims it has the "most accurate GPS route tracking for exercise, outperforming Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Garmin Fenix 8 Pro." It comes in 45mm and 41mm sizes, four colors, and a Steph Curry special edition for $579 launching September 3rd. The Pixel Tag is oblong, measuring 1.1 inches by 1.8 inches, with IP67 water and dust resistance and a replaceable CR2032 battery lasting over a year. Pixel Buds Pro 2 get a new olive green color on August 12th and a firmware update in September to improve Active Noise Cancellation.
