Google unveils Pixel 11, Pixel Watch 5, and Pixel Tag
Google unveiled its 2026 hardware lineup on August 12, 2026, introducing the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, and Pixel Tag. Preorders opened that day. Phones and watches ship on August 20, 2026; the Pixel Tag launches November 11, 2026.
The Pixel 11 family includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Pro models gain HiLight, an RGB LED ring around the rear flash that glows during Gemini interactions and alerts users to calls from chosen contacts in the phone app and WhatsApp. The base Pixel 11 omits HiLight. Camera bars use edge-to-edge glass, with a slimmer profile on the base model; the thermometer sensor is gone.
Battery capacities dipped across the lineup. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold dropped 200 mAh to 4,806 mAh, while flat models lost less than 100 mAh each. Google attributes the smaller packs to Tensor G6, claiming 20 percent better power efficiency, 25 percent faster browsing, and 15 percent faster app loading, though it released no official chip specifications. Pro displays reach 3,600 nits, up from 3,000 on the base model, and new glass is twice as scratch-resistant.
Camera hardware includes a new 48 MP primary sensor on the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, 30x digital zoom on those models, and 120x digital zoom on Pro versions. New software includes Magic Capture, which records a video and still photo automatically, Instant Night Sight for faster low-light shots, and Camera Looks, which applies customizable styles inside the HDR+ processing pipeline while preserving Real Tone. The phones run Android 17 with seven years of updates.
The Pixel Watch 5 keeps the same design and 41 mm and 45 mm sizes but moves to Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated chip, which Google says is about 20 percent faster. It adds proactive insights, offline Gemini voice commands, tracking for more than 50 exercise types, and improved GPS. AI wellness features estimate blood pressure trends and monthly insulin sensitivity from pulse, movement, and sleep data; those features will also reach Pixel Watch 3, Pixel Watch 4, and Fitbit Air in fall 2026.
Pricing starts at $899 for the Pixel 11 and reaches $1,899 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, a $100 increase across models. The Pixel Watch 5 starts at $399 for the 41 mm and $429 for the 45 mm; LTE adds $100. The Pixel Tag costs $29 and uses the Find Hub network, with ultra-wideband support on Pro Pixels for precise finding.
