TP-Link Unveils First Complete Wi-Fi 8 Lineup

TP-Link used IFA 2026 in Berlin to unveil what it calls the industry's first complete Wi-Fi 8 product lineup, led by the Archer 8 Ultra router and the Deco 8 Ultra mesh system.

The Archer 8 Ultra is a tri-band router rated for up to 19 Gbps of aggregate wireless throughput and 10 Gbps of wired connectivity, built around 18 internal antennas for coverage. The Deco 8 Ultra, sold as a three-pack mesh system, is rated up to 22 Gbps aggregate and can blanket roughly 9,800 square feet while supporting more than 200 connected devices at once.

Rather than simply chasing higher peak speeds, TP-Link says both products are built around a new 'Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine,' a set of technologies including Enhanced Long Range, Distributed Resource Units and Non-Primary Channel Access that aim to keep connections steady in crowded, interference-heavy home networks. "When a router's design becomes something people want to display, it ends up exactly where it performs best," said Gary Chang, TP-Link's industrial design lead, of the hardware's visible-antenna aesthetic.

TP-Link will detail full specs and pricing at a global online launch event on September 30, 2026, when regional pre-orders for the Archer 8 Ultra also open. The Deco 8 Ultra mesh system is due in the first quarter of 2027, followed by a Roam 8 travel router and additional Wi-Fi 8 extenders in the second quarter.
