OpenAI revenue chief Denise Dresser exits after less than a year

OpenAI Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser is leaving the company less than a year after joining, the artificial-intelligence lab said on August 13, 2026. She is departing “to pursue other opportunities,” according to a company release.

Dresser joined OpenAI in December after more than a decade as an executive at Salesforce, where she was named CEO of Slack in 2023. Salesforce bought Slack for more than $27 billion in 2020.

OpenAI has hired Dali Rajic, previously president and chief operating officer of cybersecurity company Wiz, to replace Dresser. The company is preparing for what is expected to be a blockbuster IPO.

Her exit follows that of longtime OpenAI executive Brad Lightcap, who announced on August 11, 2026, that he is leaving to “start something new.”
