Goody King recalls 213,500 magnetic toy sets after child surgeries
About 213,500 Goody King Magnetic Building Cubes sold on Amazon have been recalled after at least two children swallowed loose magnets and required surgery, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on August 13, 2026.
The toys can crack open and release small, powerful magnets. If swallowed, the magnets can attract one another or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive tract, potentially causing perforations, twisting, blockage, blood poisoning or death.
Hong Kong-based Yi Suen Commerce distributed the sets, which were sold from January 2024 through July 2026 for $17 to $50. They range from 45 to 300 pieces and were marketed under 18 style names, including Dinosaur, Unicorn, Forest, Galaxy and Firefighter; model numbers are printed on the back of the packaging.
Yi Suen Commerce has received at least 27 reports of the cubes fracturing, according to the commission.
Consumers should stop using the recalled toys immediately and contact Yi Suen Commerce for a full refund. The company will send prepaid shipping labels to customers who register for the recall, and refunds will be issued after the returned products are physically received; receipts are not required.
