AppleCare multi-device insurance expands outside US

Apple has expanded its multi-device AppleCare+ coverage plan to several new countries outside the United States for the first time. The insurance bundle, which allows customers to cover multiple Apple products under a single plan, was previously available only in the U.S. and is now rolling out to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and the United Kingdom. This expansion affects current and prospective Apple device owners in those regions, who can now protect up to five devices—including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Macs, and AirPods—with one monthly or annual subscription. The move matters because it simplifies coverage management and can reduce costs for households or individuals with several Apple gadgets, offering an alternative to separate plans for each device. According to Apple's announcement, the multi-device plan costs roughly the same as covering two devices individually but extends protection to up to five. The service includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection, each subject to a service fee. Apple first introduced this bundled AppleCare+ option in the U.S. in 2021. The company has not indicated whether further countries will be added, but the expansion suggests a broader international rollout may follow if demand is strong.
