NASA unveils MAX POWER aerospace expo at Kennedy Space Center

NASA will open the historic Shuttle Landing Facility at Kennedy Space Center in Florida to the public on November 7 and 8, 2026, for MAX POWER, a two-day aerospace expo and airshow tied to America’s 250th anniversary. The agency announced the plans on August 14, 2026.

The family-friendly event is aimed at the general public, innovators, investors, pilots, astronauts, engineers and companies. It will showcase next-generation aircraft, spacecraft, autonomous vehicles and technologies that could shape the future of air and space transportation. External collaborators include Air Dot Show, Delaware North, Space Florida, Purpose Entertainment and UP.Summit.

Some activities will take place at NASA Kennedy facilities including the Apollo Saturn V facility and the Launch and Landing Facility leased by Space Florida. Others will be held at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex adjacent to the center. Planned events include an air show featuring NASA aircraft and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, a guest speaker series with NASA experts and Apollo and Artemis astronauts, special exhibits and displays, and behind-the-gates bus tours of the Gantry, Apollo Saturn V Center and Vehicle Assembly Building.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said the event celebrates a national spirit of building what did not exist, flying higher, moving faster and reaching toward the near-impossible. He described Kennedy Space Center as America’s gateway to the stars and the place where many of the nation’s greatest achievements began.

Cyrus Sigari, UP.Summit founder and mission commander, said the event will bring together companies, investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers who are building the future of how the world moves. Bryan Lilley, CEO of Air Dot Show, called it an honor to collaborate with NASA and bring an aviation spectacle to the skies over Kennedy Space Center. Therrin Protze, chief operating officer of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, said MAX POWER brings the entire story of American aerospace together in one place. Col. Rob Long (Ret.), president and CEO of Space Florida, said Florida is proud to welcome the nation to the storied site.
